Dawn Mauricio and Andrew Bathory have teamed up to offer you an unforgettable three days of movement, meditation, and play on the tranquil shores of Lake Raymond in the heart of the Laurentians. Whether you want to get quiet, get intentional, get barefoot or get moving this retreat is for you. Our days will be filled with a morning meditation, a trail run, two movement classes, free time to swim, explore and play, and evening activities like a movie night with popcorn and a campfire with s’mores. What better way to bid summer adieu?

SUP Yoga classes: Bring your practice to a new level and discover the pleasure of practicing yoga on a SUP (stand up paddle board). Immerse yourself in the beautiful lake environment and find how moving with the sound of water is the perfect way to connect your inner ecosystem to the outside one. The SUP yoga workshops are being lead by Nadia Bonenfant, founder of JUNA Yoga and are open to all level of eperience. Full equipement and detailed instruction is provided. 2 hour workshop to learn basic paddling techniques followed by 75 minutes of SUP Yoga. 50$ per person, taxes inlcluded. Reserve your SUP spot when registering for this retreat.

The Couvent is located on a beautiful site is on the shores of Lake Raymond, in Val-Morin in the Laurentians. In summer, the location allows you to enjoy a large outdoor swimming pool, badminton court / volleyball and a bonfire. Our dock on the lake you can swim as well as expeditions canoe and pedal boat (for the adventurous). For those looking to relax on the golden sand, there is a beach located less than 100 meters. The former path of the P’tit Train du Nord passes directly in front of the convent. Transformed into path in recent years, it is now, according to the season, a beautiful bike track and cross country skiing. It also provides access to the regional park of Val-David-Val-Morin and a network of hiking trails, snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Dawn MauricioDawn Mauricio is a yoga and meditation teacher with a playful, dynamic, and centred approach. She is known for her boundless energy and smiling personality that are both contagious and motivating. Drawing from her deep experience in yoga and meditation, she delivers an effective balance of clear, precise instruction and mental reflection. Dawn firmly believes that how we offer ourselves in practice reflects how we offer ourselves in life, inspiring her to find new ways to extend her practice beyond the yoga mat and meditation cushion – and encouraging her students to do the same. Andrew Bathory is a creative and curious Yoga, Movement and Voice teacher based in Montreal. Co-founder of Element Yoga Montreal, he is well known for his warm and engaging approach to a mindful yoga practice that integrates restorative-based practices as well as the applications of yoga therapeutics. With a background in dance, gymnastics and movement training, Andrew is celebrated for his outside-the-box classes that integrate various forms of functional movement and training to enhance a yoga practice. His classes are delivered with timely pacing, attention to detail, and an artful blend of movement and stillness that ground students in breath and body. It is with this approach that he hopes to bring his students a sense of care, inquiry and vibrancy. When Andrew is not teaching or researching, he can be found making music, or adventuring outdoors with his dog Frank.
